Heather Gowin

I received my masters in clinical psychology from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs in 1998 and have been a licensed professional counselor in the state of Colorado since 2000.

I have provided psychotherapy in the Denver metro area for the past 22 years. I served as the program director for the adult intensive outpatient team at a community mental health center for four of those years. My work experience has allowed me to assist adolescents, adults, and seniors who struggle with an extensive array of issues. I continue to stay current in my clinical knowledge and therapeutic techniques with certified trainings, consultation groups with area psychotherapists, and consistent study.

The entirety of my work has taught me the imperative need for relationship in the therapeutic process. It is a powerful mechanism for change. I also developed strong skills on how to support others who are helpers themselves.
